Programs with an
Integrated Approach

Casa del Lago’s programs are designed to work in concert to support the whole family. Conversations and Caritas allow children to attend early childhood education classes at the same time that parents attend English classes.  While children master shapes, colors, letters and number; parents work to improve their English and gain experience with techniques they can use at home to help their children learn to read.  Parents also hear from credentialed speakers about topics such as brain development, the importance of rich, interactive language, and making reading a family habit.  Instruction is followed by hands on practice with parents and children, guided by our loving early childhood education staff.

Our evening programs work in a similar way, but they target families with elementary aged children, offering homework help and enrichment activities.  As we implement programming for the whole family, we get a window into their family’s world.  Our in house counselor, seeks to come alongside families who are struggling and better equip them to face the challenges of life together.

Through our integrated programming Casa del Lago equips parents to fulfill their role as their child’s first and most important teacher and guide.
