Early Childhood Education
Many Bachman Lake children come from low income households where statistically, they have heard 30 million fewer words than the average affluent American child by the time they enter kindergarten.
This “Word Gap” puts children at a lifelong disadvantage academically, economically and socially.
Over 90% of children in neighborhood schools are not “school ready” when they enter kindergarten.
Caritas utilizes a structured early childhood education program to address the critical language gaps and pre-literacy deficits while instilling a love of learning. Caritas curriculum also uses crafts and group play to help children improve their fine and gross motor skills needed for success in kindergarten and beyond.
